Encounter in the Tunnel

I will tell you the story of the last time I went into the haunted tunnel. Weird stuff had occurred in the tunnel before; those are stories for another time.

The last time, though, in the haunted tunnel… We were mostly sober. Three of us were going through the tunnel. It started as a usual trip.

So it was normal through the mile-long tunnel. It's dark and spooky. A chill ran through me. I was down in the tunnel just talking about old times. Normally, you can see light from each side of the tunnel.

Suddenly, the light from both sides of the tunnel disappeared. Suddenly, a voice said, "Run." Then a growl. I told them to run! So I ran out as fast as I could, with my friends behind me. When we got out, they were pale. I asked, "Why are you so quiet?" They said something pushed them out of the way, and something cold passed through one's body.
