Ode to Cheesecake

Ode to Cheesecake

In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, A dish so fine, in beauty doth convene; A cheesecake, soft as clouds in heaven's sky, With taste that makes the heart in joy comply.

Oh, cheesecake, art thou sweet and rich in cheer, Thy crust, a golden throne for flavors dear; With every bite, a symphony of taste, That doth our mortal senses keenly chaste.

Thy creamy heart, of cheese and sugar spun, Brings harmony to life when day is done; A balm to soothe the weary soul's lament, In every slice, a moment's bliss is spent.

For health, thou dost provide a subtle boon, With protein rich to fortify our noon; Calcium, too, to keep our bones so strong, And yet, in moderation, do we long.

Love for thee, cheesecake, knows no earthly bound, In every form, from plain to richly crowned; With fruits or chocolate, nuts or caramel, Each variant a tale of love to tell.

So let us raise our forks in sweet accord, To cheesecake, love and life's great reward; In every bite, let's find our heart's delight, And in thy love, find peace for every night.
