Zathura: A Space Adventure – Review
If you are looking for the perfect movie to watch with your family this coming weekend, this is definitely the one.
What I absolutely love about this film is how they found a way to take the core concept of Jumanji and blast it into deep space, delivering the same basic plot framework but with completely different situations. It is a masterclass in how to build a follow-up story without it feeling like the usual, uninspired "Part 2" that Hollywood loves to churn out.
As a writer, I give massive props and admiration to the creator for his dedication to crafting a good, wholesome family movie that stands totally unique from the original. Managing to capture that same magical essence while creating something entirely fresh and distinct is incredibly hard to do, and the team behind it absolutely nailed it. The practical effects and the sheer creativity of the space hazards make it an absolute blast from start to finish.
